Clifford Barber
(1892 - 1914)
Clifford barber was born to parents John and Alice Barber. He was baptised at ???? parish church on 14th October 1892. The baptism record identifies that the family were living at Halswell Lane, Bridgwater and that John Barber was working as a labourer. His birth was registered during December qtr 1892 (ref 5c 340).
Clifford was the third born in what became a large family, he had the following brothers and sisters.

It is believed that Leonard and Leslie died as babies.
Clifford joined the Somerset Light Infantry at the outbreak of World War 1 and was sadly killed in action. His sister Glad recalls that Clifford drowned on his way to Mesopotamia.
